Vascular & Interventional Radiology
Interventional Radiology offers a cutting edge approach to many conditions. This technology has replaced the need for open surgery in many cases. Interventional Radiologists combine the use of state-of-the-art imaging and diagnostic knowledge to target and treat an ever-widening range of conditions.
These minimally invasive techniques are performed by using imaging procedures such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT scans, or MRI in order to guide a needle, catheter, guide wire, or drain into an affected area. In turn, these procedures decrease the risk to patients, cause less pain, and considerably shorten recovery time.
